EmoEles helps students apply critical thinking, including reliable memory and recall (mnemonic) techniques, in their self-study of any standard textbook or learning medium. Through the OSGs, students can access an alternative to the proven and highly effective EmoEles model. An OSG is formed for collaborative learning by students with similar learning interests to discuss topics or school subjects that they are interested in. It also offers students the opportunity to access guidance and catch up on topics that they find challenging.

Each OSG is moderated by an assigned volunteer with training in collaborative learning. The volunteer helps group members by moderating the group’s activities and discussions online towards the attainment of the group’s objectives.

Who can join an OSG? All students in upper primary and JHS are encouraged to join an OSG.

What are the requirements of an OSG? OSG members should have access to at least (a) a personal computer or (b) a tablet or (c) a smartphone; an active email address, preferably in Gmail; access to the internet, and a quiet study environment at home.

Students are to form their groups, choose three (3) subjects of interest, and submit their names to their class teacher for vetting and approval.

How many students can form an OSG?

An OSG may have a membership of 10 students. Kindly contact us if you will prefer a smaller group size. The smaller the number of students in an OSG, the more effective it is likely to be. Students are to form their groups, choose three (3) subjects of interest, and submit their names to their class teacher for vetting and approval.

OSGs may meet once a week. Where you wish to request a moderator for additional meetings in the week, kindly contact us.

For best results, it is advised to keep the duration of each meeting under 60 minutes.
